The journey to what we now have as COMEG's PROFESSIONAL SCALE OF FEES was borne out of the concerted effort of some committed professionals drawn from different works of life in the Nigerian Extractive Industry with a mandate to come up with a working document that covered all the sectors being regulated by the Council.
The final document got the nod of the Honourable Minister of Mines and Steel Development before it was presented to the Federal Executive Council (FEC) for approval.
This was the first time in the history of COMEG that Council would have any submission been sent to FEC for consideration as it was approved during its EC (2022) 14th meeting chaired by the President and Commander-In-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR.
The Professional Scale of Fees was, thereafter, launched by the Hon. Minister MMSD, Arc. Olamilekan Adegbite, fcia, on Tuesday, 5th July, 2022 at Rock View Hotels, Abuja.
